[Nice, I'm timeskipping to tomorrow then--Minato's definitely making a very classic fish dish because that's easiest, and after sending a message Yusuke's way, he'll start heading on over.

[The door is quick to open afterwards, Yusuke bright-eyed and eager to do something NICE after WEREWOLF SHIT. It smells like food inside... probably most like chicken and vegetables though it was totally a goose. That goose was cooked.

I've had to branch out in the colours that I use, but... I believe it's coming along well nevertheless.

[Really, it's a riot of colour in here. Yusuke's satisfied with it EVEN THOUGH HE NEVER GETS TO USE THE COLOUR HE WANTS, MAGIC PAINTS.]

It is something to do, thinking up what I shall paint the next room.

...But, the kitchen is this way. I'd like you to try what I made before it gets cold.

[HE KNOWS IF HE STARTS TALKING ABOUT HIS IDEAS HE'LL GO ON FOREVER so he leads Minato into the otherwise-quiet house, very clean aside from what he's calling his atelier which is a disgusting mess but we're not going in there (yet??).]

[You know, that's fair. Minato follows right along, and to the kitchen they go! He'll set his dish on the counter as well, a very classic grilled fish with veggies, expression curious to see what Yusuke made as well.

Food...!!

[Food is the best, and Yusuke smiles appreciatively at what he's brought, moving to his covered dish not far down the counter to take it off. Delicious goose with vegetables awaits and... yeah it's artfully arranged.

Tastefully, even. Not weird artful. Just plain pretty. It's apparent right away that food arrangement is apparently part of his hobbies yet he forgets to eat.]

Your dish looks delicious. I hope mine will suit your tastes as well. [It's legit. Yusuke can cook. He also didn't throw in weird things for fun this time.]

[Oh my god.... that's such a pretty dish, and Minato blinks at it before he smiles a little.]

Your dish almost looks too pretty to eat, Kitagawa-san... but it smells to good not to.

We should do this more often, honestly... this is already more fun.

[Yusuke settles opposite him, smiling as he begins to take some of the food... though he does serve Minato as well, laying food on his plate.]

I think so as well. It's quite pleasing to share the results of one's cooking with someone else for a change...

[It also actually makes Yusuke more eager to cook and not just munch on whatever's there.]

It makes it all seem a bit more worthwhile, right?

[He likes cooking for others even more than himself too, he gets it... but for now, Minato just hums at the food on his plate, pleased, and:]

I know that many people feel frustrated and trapped here, but... I cannot help but to feel satisfied when I see the colour that has returned to food and every day items.

It can be a little frustrating for everyone to be stuck here when they have important things to do back home, but... it really does feel like we're doing something meaningful, doesn't it?

Yes. Certainly, I am not sure what end goal we are progressing toward, but...

We are progressing somewhere.

I'm relieved that I'm starting to get the hang of cooking in a place like this, finally.

The limited ingredients with taste make it a challenge... but it is one that can only improve our cooking skills.

And trying to get used to the weird old time stoves and things... It's been an adventure, honestly.

But I feel like we're learning some useful life skills.

Cooking on a fire outside gives food a pleasant smoky flavour, I think.

[Though yeah uh definitely burned himself the first few goes. Both on old timey stoves and otherwise.]

We have become more survivalist, haven't we?

It's not a skillset I expected to ever need to get, but... I guess it's opened my eyes to how little I knew, living in a city.

We are used to very much a different lifestyle.

Our usual habits or knowledge don't apply well here... but luckily humans are adaptable.

I guess so. It's amazing how we've all adapted to our situation here, honestly.

I guess when you look at it like that, it's pretty inspiring.
