#EA0000
I'm going into the forest to see those shadow monsters for myself, if you want to come.
[He's not going to make Yusuke do anything here since it might be dangerous, but he's kind of counting on Yusuke to agree.]
no subject
I was curious as well when I spoke to Dave about them.
[NATURALLY, HE'S COMING. How could he not??]
no subject
[A pause while he considers. There is something he needs to tell Yusuke about before they do this.]
Akechi is here. I asked him to come, too.
He wanted to go anyway so we might as well go together.
[Just a jolly jaunt through the woods with his would-be murderer. What could go wrong?]
no subject
[no.... WHAT???]
no subject
He starts to explain, then remembers something important. If Akechi doesn't remember everything, maybe Yusuke doesn't either.]
Do you remember Shido's ship?
[He'll start there.]
no subject
That's one of the reasons why I'm confused. [That was the last time seeing Akechi. While that doesn't guarantee what happened to him, nevertheless Yusuke's rather shaken that he's here and going to be coming with them or something? That and, in addition--]
Why would you ask him to come?
no subject
[In his room (what can be called a room, anyway), Akira sighs to himself and leans back a moment before he continues.]
I don't know what's going on, but Akechi is alive, and as far as I can tell he doesn't remember he died, or even that he tried to kill me. I referred to him as a member of the team and he didn't so much as flinch.
[It's unsettling, to say the least.]
I don't think he's lying. I think he thinks we were still trying to take Niijima-san's treasure.
no subject
How is such a thing possible...?
He truly doesn't seem like he's lying?
[Once... or twice bitten, three times shy.]
no subject
I met a time traveler, too.
[So maybe there are time shenanigans involved... which boggles his mind.]
I admit I'm not always the best at catching his lies but I'm pretty sure he's not acting, not about this anyway.
[He's always acting in general, but...]
no subject
I see.
[Okay. He cool.]
What shall be the best way to proceed, then? I will defer to your judgement and plans.
no subject
For now, just pretend we don't know any of that either. As far as you or I are concerned, Akechi is the Ace Detective who doesn't really approve of us, but is helping us out for the sake of Niijima-san.
I'm worried that if he finds out he died, or I evaded his plan, he'll just try to hurt us or someone else. This way, he keeps up his pleasant front and everything will be okay.
no subject
So, for the moment, keep him preoccupied with maintaining his pleasant front and give him no reason to let it slip or lash out at others.
[All right. That's a reasonable plan, and it makes him feel solid to have something to keep in mind. Dealing with... someone here who is not supposed to be here is going to be a thing either way, though... But he must maintain his composure.]
action;
Minato still finds himself drawn there as if hoping that it will someday feel a bit more like Iwatodai, hands tucked into his pockets as he walks. That's what draws him here, anyway--what keeps him there, though, is spying a familiar head of blue hair amidst the bleak backdrop.
Oh, huh...]
It's... Kitagawa-san, right?
action;
[Yusuke turns his head to look over one shoulder. His sketchbook is ever-present in the bag over his shoulder, but he's not sketching today, just gazing out at the unnerving water. He totally lost track of time, how long has it been...]
Yes, that's right. Arisato. [He smiles.] Thank you for your assistance last time.
[he found his friend thanks to u minato]
no subject
You found Akira-san, then?
[That's definitely good news, and Minato comes closer to properly have this conversation. He's curious to know!!]
no subject
[He turns to face him properly rather than stare in artistic melancholy outward.]
How have you found it? Settling in here?
no subject
[But also like. Look at the other option for Minato...]
It's been interesting getting to know everyone, at least. There are a lot of very interesting people here.
no subject
[His hand lifts to cradle at his chin.]
I've had the good fortune to meet interesting people myself back home, but... those here bring very new perspectives.
[Different worlds and shit. Did you hear about giant robots, Minato? He did.]
no subject
Right? I think so too.
[A shake of his head, and:]
Have you been settling in okay too then?
no subject
[He knows it's not the most foolproof plan there is, but it's better than nothing. It's probably their only option, right now.]
Hopefully we won't be here for long. We need to get back to the others.
no subject
[Yeah, others are certainly more stirred up than Yusuke.]
I am glad to see, however, that colour is possible to come back here. If only in small manners thus far.
no subject
I admit I wish I could do something for this place, however, before we leave.
[Which... Well, it's Yusuke. This colourless world tugs at him hard.]
no subject
[Now that they've seen it like.
Actually happen.]
no subject
[He actually like... perks up, brightening. But then he just as quickly sobers, his eyebrows furrowing.]
Though on the other hand, I need to return home. It is rather troubling; I should focus on returning rather than bringing back the colour here.
[But he very obviously wants to do just that...]
no subject
Hm.]
That is a problem... I guess we can try to bring back color and find our way home at the same time, though.
There's no reason why it has to be one or the other.
