Yes. I have only seen pictures of certain kinds, but they are reminiscent of clear, still ponds... yet broken into rows where the rice is planted.

Sometimes they look no different from a regular field, yet you get close enough and you see the reflection of sun on the water in-between the greenery...

I think it is easy to miss beauty in the day-to-day, with the lifestyle many of us lead.

[The busy human lifestyle... it's in human nature to overlook what one may see as normal or mundane, but there's so much to be seen too, Yusuke thinks.]

I have undoubtedly missed things as well. By paying attention to one thing, it was likely I missed another.

[But he's looking quite thoughtful, reflecting in earnest now.]

It is not a bad thing to remind ourselves of either, to stop and take in what's around us. That way we'll see things we mightn't otherwise.

That's why it's good to have people around to remind us to look at things we wouldn't usually see on our own, too.
